Have you ever come face to face with a person that tastes like cabbage? It’s not even that good for you, however you are forced to deal with as if the love of God depends on it?
Keeping the faith is a must and self-control is an even bigger must? A while ago I came face to face with a cabbage like person, and it was if my whole day went sour.
I try to keep a God perspective in everything I do, and sometimes I succeed. I often ask of myself three transformative questions:
What does the word of God say about this? What does the love of God look-like in this? How can I apply my faith in this situation?
Theses questions are quite precise when dealing with the truth of God in who we are to be in our day to day lives. In Ephesian chapter 4, verse 31, the bible instructs us; “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.”
At times the word of God, love of God and faith in actions is towards our wellbeing also. Holding on to bitterness and anger can obscure who we are to ourselves as well as to other people that could be a blessing to us.
I know this is basic, however it is necessary that we discover who we can be even in moments of upset and anger. For instance, holding on to bitterness can defile us according to Hebrews chapter 12, verse 15.
Would you want to facilitate the power to someone to be able to defile you? To defile is to spoil, desecrate, profane or violate someone or oneself. In other words, this could be seen as giving the power to someone in order to allow you to incline you to live in anything other than what the word and truth of God says about you.
If we can simply keep a heaven perspective in all we do, even when meeting the cabbages of this life; It is possible that we could walk in a much more abundant life.
It is easier when we acquire the understanding that people are acting also upon ideas they have identified with as truth, therefore they simply want to do what in their minds are held as that idea of truth.
God allow us to know your truth, live in your truth and not be defiled by others through bitterness, anger, malice or misunderstandings. Please instruct us to live a pure life. Give us clean hands, a pure heart and a life that is dignified of you.
In Jesus name Amen
