Being rooted In Christ rather than the identity of this world.

Who tells us who we are?

From the moment we come out of the womb, people continuously and knowingly try to teach us who we are to be.
Who taught them is another very important question to ask when searching who we are to be.

The problem with such statement is that often the people teaching us who we are, have been indoctrinated by none other than this world and it’s lies.

We can read the truth regarding who we are to be and allow our minds to comprehend  the greater picture in Romans chapter 12, verse 2, “Do not be conformed to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

We live in a world that is often teaching certain patterns that cohesively impose on us and who we truly are to be, outside the living word of God.
We hold fast to an identity that we create from factors gathered often in childhood or happenings in our lives that promote in us ways of being.

These ways of being are not always congruent to whom God created us to be.
Therefore whom we know to be ourselves, are often rooted in an identity created by us through happenings in our lives rather than rooted in the Holy Spirit of Christ.

When we empty ourselves or let go of such identities, we can clearly be who God created us to be. A great way to promote the truth within is to seek the revelation of the Holy Spirit and ask who we are to be. In seeking we receive and the true christian will receive and live in such revelations.

Within our own personalities given by God we can allow the Holy Spirit of Christ to flow through so that we may be elevated according to His will. Therefore receiving who we truly are and being able to function on this earth as who He says we are, rather than the lies we have been told.

The truth sets the captive free, often times we keep ourselves captive to our selfs.
False ways of being oppose and interfere with the blessings that God wants us to receive. We can self impose. When we decide to die to ourselves, we can live for Him. In other words when we die to that which is not, what is; can and will show up.

Prayer:
Father who is in heaven reveal to us who we are in you. Teach us to discern from the impositions of this world according to your living word. Transform our minds according to your teachings so that we may be found approved by You.
Give us wisdom and daily discernment to know the difference and fill us with the joy of the Lord so that we may be strengthened.
May your name be glorified today and always.

Amen!
